Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel is a five-star luxury hotel run by the Sheraton Hotels and Resorts overlooking the Persian Gulf in the West Bay area of Doha, Qatar Located approximately 2 miles northwest of the port area, it reportedly covers an area of around 10,000 square metres. The hotel reportedly cost around $100 million to build, and although built by an American company, it was subsidized by the Qatari government.Established in 1979, is noted for its distinct pyramid shape and is part of the conference facility for the Organization of Arab States. The Sheraton Doha has been described as having a world of Arabian luxury and magical ambience.The hotel itself has a very important function as a conference centre in Doha and regularly hosts events including international scientific seminars and meetings. The First Conference for Expatriate Arab Scientists, QFIRST took place at the hotel in 2007 and it has hosted meetings of the World Trade

In this project Qlite system is used in complete renovation of guest rooms and Public Area dimming. Qlite developed customized rotary type control plate to control the guest room functions. Also Qlite system is integrated with FCUs with modulating valves and speed control.

BIN SAMIKH 5 Star Hotel (3B+G+M+40F), Qatar

The tower involves construction of a tower comprising two basement levels, a ground floor, a mezzanine floor and 42 additional floors. The Bin Samikh will have 24 five star hotel suites, 170 residential apartments, 234 rooms of single and double wings, 192 serviced hotel apartments, four restaurants, and conference halls for multiple purposes on an area of 1500 m2, a business centre, a swimming pool and a health club.
In this project Qlite system is interfaced with guest room control switches. Dry contact interface is provided for controlling through conventional switch.

Corridor panel with integrated RFID card reader. Showing the card on the corridor panel opens the door.

Keytag holder – for energy saving purpose. Only programmed cards activates the system and once card is removed, all systems go to energy saving mode.

Conventional switches integrated to GRMS for master light and curtain control from bedside.

Android tablet based control of lights, curtain, AC and service selection for each room. Tablet operates over hotel WIFI network. Combining rooms on each floor with common corridor panel functionality

• Functionality: Each room is provided with Enigma series Guest Room Management System which controls all the lighting & certain power outlets. RCU (room control Units are equipped with total of 16 feed through relays. These 16 relays are controlling lighting as well as power outlets. These RCUs are also equipped with manual Bypass Mechanism for situations like RCU failure. HVAC is also integrated with GRMS to save energy if the room is unoccupied.
• Challenge: Developer wanted all the control keypads and all the switch sockets to look same. To overcome this challenge Qlite Developed a modular control Keypad PCB which can be fitted inside any brand regular switch socket facia i.e. Legrand, MK, Clipsal etc.
