The Home Automation System for the show Villas was manufactured supplied and commissioned by Qlite Limited UK and Qlite FZC. Qlite’s scope involved providing the following solutions in the entire villa

Each villa consists of approx 80 Dimming channels, 10 digital thermostats controlling standard FCUs and VAV units, 30 customized control plates in cooperating music control via our plates. The entire system was integrated to an ipad in each floor for central control.

Full Control of AC using IR: Power On/Off control, Temp+ / Temp- control, Fan Speed+ / Fan Speed- control, Mode Control of AC, etc.

Automatic Control & Live Status of Server PCs (named as drives): Server PCs are switched ON/OFF automatically on the time basis and gives the live status on iPAD and his android phone.

Control & Live Status of Lights: There are four areas for Light Control (Server Room, Drawing Room, Bedroom-1 and Bedroom-2). All the lighting circuits are on switching. These Light circuits can be controlled and monitor from iPAD & his android phone.

Control & Live Status of Sockets: There are four areas for Socket Control (Server Room Socket-1, Server Room Socket-2, Bedroom-1 Socket and Bedroom-2 Socket). These Socket circuits can be controlled and monitor from iPAD & his android phone.

Live Status of Incoming Power: Live feedback/status of Incoming power is displayed on iPAD and android phone, whether the system is running on Mains power or Generator power.

Automatic Generator ON Function: Generator is automatically switched-on after 2 Minutes on Mains power failure. During this period system will be running on UPS supply.

Control & Live Status of Generator Power: Generator power can be controlled and monitor from the iPAD and his android phone.

Enable/Disable Automatic Generator ON function: Function of Automatic Generator ON after 2 minutes on Mains power failure can be enabled/disabled from iPAD and his android phone.

CONTROL EVERYTHING THAT’S INSIDE:

If you control it with Qlite, you can control and monitor everything with your iPad/iPhone/android devices. Whether it's lighting, AC, curtain, music system, security system, CCTV or anything else, a couple of taps or a single touch on your iPad and you're in total control of your home - whether you're inside it or a thousand miles away!
In this project, we have designed a GUI with the replicated images of each area. In these images, every device is shown as it is installed in actual; like- Chandelier, Down-lights, Cove-lights, Fan, AC, Projector, etc. All these devices can be controlled with the touch on the image of that device on iPad.

Control everything: Light, AC, Blinds, Music– Home Theater

Take the Home Theater Room, for instance. When we touch the screen image on iPad inside Home theatre room, following things happen in steps:

• AC gets switched ON
• Projector lift starts to move down
• Projector gets switched ON
• Pioneer DVD gets switched ON
• Pioneer DVD starts to play the inserted DVD
• Pioneer switcher gets switched ON
• Input to Pioneer switcher gets switched to DVD
• Light Scene gets switched to the theater mode

All these things can also be controlled individually on the touch of their images on iPad.

Light up Your Life

To save time and thought, we’ve set up a series of lighting scenes/moods in different rooms for different occasions. We have also provide the control of individual circuit ON/OFF on the simulated GUI of each area on iPad.
Take theDining Room, for instance. In the morning, the ‘Breakfast’ setting gives us a gentle light over the breakfast bar. So we can read the newspaper and eat our Corn Flakes without being half blinded! In the evening, our ‘Cooking’ scene features bright lighting around the cooker and hobs. Then once dinner is served, our ‘Dining’ scene has dimmed lighting in the cooking area, but the dining table lit up. We can also control individual light circuits, Fan, AC on the touch of their image on iPad.

Automatic Curtain Control

With its vast swathes of glass, the DLF Phase-IV house makes use of automatic shading to keep the temperature inside just right. The blinds are fully controlled by the Qlite Curtain Control Module according to the room temperature. When the temperature inside gets too high, the blinds come down; likewise if it's too cold, then the slats go horizontal or the blinds open fully to let in some sun to warm up the house. There's also a feature which raises the blinds fully in a storm to protect them from damage.

Smart Toilets

When the toilet is not occupied lights get switched to unoccupied mode automatically. It gets switched to occupied mode, when somebody open the door.

iPad as Front Door Key

Main entrance and both side doors can be opened with Qlite. That's how we use the iPad as front door key. It also means we can remotely open the door for the delivery man or the neighbors. And if someone forgets their keys, they just need to get their iPhone/iPad out.
If you're out the house and your doorbell rings... You'll be notified by the app on your iPad and, using the door camera, you'll know exactly who's standing at your door (from wherever you are). You can then speak to the unexpected visitor and even open the door for them remotely.

Control from Everywhere

We're both often out and about. It's therefore really useful for us to be able to connect to our house with an iPhone or web browser. Whether it's just to check/control the temperature, or to check if all the windows are closed. To do this, we've simply put Qlite system on Internet using static IP to the devices.
